What we collect

When you use Engrams, we store:

• Your email address (for authentication)
• Memories you save (profile, context, decisions, learnings, episodes, tasks)
• API usage logs (endpoint, timestamp — no request content)

How we use your data

• To provide the Engrams service — storing and retrieving your memories
• To improve the product — we analyze anonymized, aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which features are used most). We do not read individual memory content for product development without your explicit consent.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in the EU (eu-west-1). Embeddings are generated via OpenAI's API — your memory content is sent to OpenAI for embedding generation only. OpenAI does not retain this data per their API data usage policy.

Who has access

Only the Engrams team (Gustav Kall) has administrative access to the database. We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties.

Data retention

Your memories are stored as long as your account is active. You can delete individual memories from your dashboard. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email hello@engrams.app.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact hello@engrams.app for any data requests.
